PAY A FINE:

TIMELY FINE: You can pay a CURRENT FINE (not late) by clicking here, by calling 1-888-274-0888, in person at the Agency, or by mail to the mailing address below.

LATE FINE: You must pay a LATE FINE in person at the Agency Monday through Friday (except holidays), between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in cash, by certified check or money order (payable to SCTPVA), credit card or debit card (convenience fee of 3.5% will be applied to credit and debit transactions).

ANSWER A TICKET:

You may answer your ticket(s) by mailing the ticket, filled out with a not guilty plea, to the Agency within 48 hours of receiving the ticket(s) or by appearing in person on the return date indicated on your ticket. You may plead guilty by mailing your ticket to the Agency by the return date indicated on your ticket, or by appearing in person on the return date. Note: You may not have to appear in person or virtually to answer your traffic ticket. You may be able to use our online system, by clicking here.

REQUEST A CONFERENCE WITH A PROSECUTOR:

If you mail in your ticket with a not guilty plea within 48 hours of receiving your ticket, you will receive a notice to appear in person. You always have the right to request to appear in person on moving violations and parking tickets. Neither you, nor the prosecutor are required to conference your case or plea bargain.

If you are requesting a conference with a prosecutor in person at the Agency, mail in your ticket with a not guilty plea within 48 hours of receiving your ticket or appear at the Agency on the return date indicated on the ticket and request a date to conference with a prosecutor at the Agency.

IF YOUR LICENSE IS SUSPENDED:

You may request to appear before the Court to be heard on the suspension by appearing at the Agency Monday through Friday, between 9:00am and 11:00am to schedule a hearing for 2:00pm-4:00pm THE SAME DAY.

APPEAR IN PERSON:

Currently, you may appear at the Agency to pay a fine, to schedule a court date, answer a ticket and obtain certain information on your case. You must appear personally to address your case. You may not have someone other than you handle your traffic case, other than an attorney.

TRIALS:

YOU MUST APPEAR IN PERSON ON THE DATE AND AT THE TIME OF YOUR TRIAL PURSUANT TO YOUR TRIAL NOTICE. YOU MUST BRING YOUR TRIAL NOTICE WITH YOU.

IF YOU FAIL TO APPEAR FOR YOUR TRIAL, THE TRIAL WILL BE CONDUCTED IN YOUR ABSENCE. YOU MAY BE FOUND GUILTY AND LIABLE FOR ALL PENALTIES IMPOSED BY THE COURT AND BY THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES.

Welcome to the Suffolk County Traffic and Parking Violations Agency (SCTPVA). SCTPVA was created by legislation on April 1, 2013. SCTPVA adjudicates parking summonses, red light camera citations and moving violations in the five western towns of Suffolk County.
